How the AI description writer works

When you create or edit a vehicle in TraderWay, a Generate Description button sits next to the description field. Click it and TraderWay collects the vehicle data you have already entered — make, model, derivative, year, colour, fuel type, transmission, mileage, engine size, doors, seats, service history, previous owners, ULEZ compliance and key features — and sends it to the ChatGPT API.

What you get back

Within a few seconds, a 3-paragraph description appears in the description field. The structure is consistent: an engaging opener about the vehicle and what makes it stand out, a specification and practicality paragraph, and a paragraph covering condition, history and a call to action. All written in UK English, professional but approachable, ready for a dealer website.

You stay in control

The AI fills the field. You review it, adjust anything you want — a phrase that does not sound like your dealership, a detail you want to change, a selling point you want to add — and then save the vehicle as normal. The AI speeds up the process; you make the final call.
